At Bluestem Environmental Education, we are dedicated to the quality, progressive education of children and are particularly supportive of Montessori education. Naturalist in a Box has 18 different animals represented by the animal, it’s lunchbox, everything the animal may eat is represented in the lunch box with objects or real specimens from nature, information about the animal, a coloring page and lesson plan.
All of our materials are hand crafted, hand made. Good things take time! Please understand we may not be able to make and ship quickly so order with that in mind.
The best way to learn about history and early native cultures is with hands on experiences. The aim of this game was to practice skills for hunting small game. Today this game can be used for developing eye-hand coordination. This game requires adult supervision. A person rolls the target hoop on the ground only. Another person kneels on one knee about 6 feet from the hoop and throws the spear through the inner target. The spear should never be tossed at or near a person.
